Photographer's Biography - Robert R. TaylorRobert Taylor is a naturalist, photographer, and writer with over forty years of experience. In 1963, majoring in science photography, he graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. Bob was awarded a fellowship in the Professional Photographers Association of Manitoba and has earned the honour of Master of Photographic Arts of the Professional Photographers of Canada. In 1978, he was accepted into the prestigious Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, one of the few photographers to received this honour. He has travelled extensively throughout Canada, particularly in the north, and to parts of the western United States and Alaska. His travels abroad have taken him to the Galapagos Islands, Pribilof Islands, Ecuador, Egypt, Holland, England, Trinidad, Tobago, Tanzania, and Kenya. Bob has conducted numerous safaris to Kenya and continues to take groups there on a regular basis. For more than twenty years he has conducted photography workshops at Churchill, Manitoba, and in other locations. Robert’s work has also appeared in many national and international magazines including, Equinox, International Wildlife, Life, Reader’s Digest, Airone, Photo Life, Birder’s World, American Birds, Photo Digest, Birds of the Wild, The Beaver, Art Impressions, and Canadian Geographic. Bob’s love of nature and his lifelong interest in art have combined to yield a sensitivity that has not only inspired his own work, but that of others. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and ability to communicate have made him a popular lecturer, teacher, and tour leader. Robert R. Taylor, RCA, MPA. |
